2017 marked a big year for Chardonnay at Nottingham Cellars. We have taken our sourcing from a mix of Monterey and Livermore, to 100% Livermore Valley. Now sourcing from three distinct vineyards within the valley, producing three very distinct wines, each one showcasing the immense caliber and versatility of our growing region. This 2017 Micro-Lot Reserve Chardonnay is sourced from the Ernest Wente vineyard creating a style of Chardonnay new to our program. With no oak and no Malo-lactic conversion this Chablis inspired Chardonnay is bright, vibrant and straightforward. Dried apricots, underripe pineapple, freshly sliced honeydew melon and French lemon tart radiate out of the glass inviting you for more. Perfect for the summer, pair this Chardonnay oysters, shellfish, vegitable orecchiette or long days enjoying the sun!
100% Ernest Wente Vineyard
Hand harvested and delivered to the winery the morning of August 30th and pressed whole cluster. Inoculated with vin13 in a stainless steel tank through primary fermentation and no ml conversion. Cellared for 3 months in stainless steel drums before bottling.
