Located on the valley floor, tucked away off of Tesla rd, the Fraser Howard vineyard is one that repeatedly continues to impress and improve. Meticulous farming practices and an immense amount of care and dedication have transformed this humble acre into, in our opinion, one of the premier Chardonnay vineyards in the Livermore Valley. Aromatics of Meyer lemon, orange zest, green apple and Asian pear are rounded by toasty notes of cinnamon, spice and baked bread. Gorgeous racy acidity is complemented with a full bodied, creamy texture. The wine has just the right amount of richness while maintaining a balance of acid, wood and fruit all showcasing the exquisite efforts produced from this site. Hand-picked on the morning September 9th, brought to the winery and pressed whole cluster. Wine was fermented in 50% new French oak with native yeast & 50% 2nd use French oak and inoculated with cy3079. 100% ML post primary with aggressive lees stirring in barrel.
