2016

Vasco Urbano Wine Company was created to showcase the exceptional Rhone style wines that are being grown and produced here in the Livermore Valley. We believe that the Livermore Valley’s unique terroir is perfectly suited for the Rhone varieties Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre and Petite Sirah. In addition, we source fruit from other prime growing regions throughout the Central Coast in the spirit of the traveling artist Vasco Urbano Louriero. Together these wines represent our efforts to produce World Class Rhone style wines here in the Livermore Valley.

Tasting Notes

The Cechinni Vineyard in Contra Costa County is growing some absolutely amazing aromatic whites. Marsanne and Roussanne make a lovely wine with classic waxy, candied fruit, medium body with vibrant acidity. This year we added a touch of Muscat to round the blend, driving some of the floral and tropical notes that make this wine sing. Enjoy with shellfish this holiday season!

Production

With a pick date of Sept 30th, 2016, this white Rhone blend has significant fruit and acidty on the palate, smoothed over by floral tones.
