Nottingham Cellars Micro-Lot Reserve wines are produced from the finest vineyards in the Livermore Valley that showcase the region’s ability to grow world class Bordeaux Varieties. Each variety is site specific and was chosen as one of our finest offerings available.
Ralphi is back, with a slightly new twist on this classic Cab/Merlot concept. Collin was fortunate enough to have visited Bordeaux in 2016 visiting many wineries on the left and right bank. This was an eye-opening trip and one of his biggest takeaways was a fondness for younger Claret style blends. One particular producer created a wine that was 50% Merlot and 50% Cab Sauv, and the wine aged in Leroi French oak barrels for only 10 months. Collin modeled the new Ralphi’s after that experience, creating contrast with other wines in our portfolio that see more barrel time and are typically based on Cabernet. We put Merlot first on the label as a nod to the folks at Chateau Chantegrive for sharing this amazing wine. Fruit and easy drinking, we took all of the crowd pleasing qualities of Ralphi’s past and put them on full display for you to enjoy.
