The Wines:
- 2011 Viognier, Arroyo Seco, Monterey County – Viognier is back! And what a wonderful wine this is! Our winemaker chose to source Viognier from the Arroyo Seco Appellation in search of a leaner style. We think, without question, this is the best Viognier we have produced. Wonderful floral and tropical aromatics and flavors are complimented by bright natural acidity, the primary reason we decided to source from this cool climate, coastal region. Only 150 cases produced. To read more about our winemakers passion for this varietal, read here.
- 2010 Petite Sirah, Livermore Valley, Casa De Vinas – For those of you who had a chance to taste our 2009 Petite Sirah, you already know what you have to look forward to. For those who did not, you are in for a treat. Blackberry, cocoa and gingerbread converge with blueberry preserves and undertones of roasted pork mole! Only 200 Cases Produced.
- 2010 Awakening, GSM, Livermore Valley – Our first ever Rhone Style Red Blend, Awakening, is our tribute to the winemakers who have come before to set the foundation of what Rhone Style Red blends are capable of in the appropriate climate. Achieving both opulence and structure from careful fruit and barrel selection, Awakening shows aromatics and flavors of graham cracker s’mores dipped in farmstead strawberry preserves. Amazing! Only 200 Cases Produced.
-
2010 Syrah, Livermore Valley, Hayes Ranch – Produced Exclusively for members of the Wine Club, our 2010 Hayes Ranch Syrah was not a wine we planned on producing, rather a call to action based on the performance of two barrels. Massive in all departments, aromatics, color, and flavor intensity, our 2010 Syrah is a powerhouse. Only 50 cases produced exclusively for members.
